Lexus Roadside Assistance

I am very glad I bought a Lexus. The company seems to have a responsive and caring nature towards its customers. For instance, whenever I’ve gotten a tune-up at the dealership, I’ve always gotten at least 2 phone calls afterwards and a survey to rate my experience. I had a small complaint once and a service manager promptly called me afterwards and agreed to give me a discount on my next tune-up - that’s customer service!

This quality of service extends to Lexus’s Roadside Assistance program. This program automatically protects Lexus owners with emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days per year for four years from the time you buy your vehicle. Here is a run down of what this includes:

  • battery jump-start, tire change and fuel delivery!!!
  • towing to the nearest Lexus dealership or an alternative repair facility if necessary.
  • assistance in locating alternative transportation and lodging
  • trip protection guarantee (for warrantable repairs) - covers a rental car for up to 5 days and up to $200 per day in additional expenses such as meals and lodging for three days
  • the dealer may also arrive at your side to assist with roadside services. Several dealerships currently participate in the Lexus Dealer Roadside program. It works in conjunction with AAA

In case you are already a Lexus RX 400h owner, and you are not quite sure how to take advantage of this service, here are the steps you need to take in order to get help:

  1. Call 1-800-25-LEXUS (or 1-800-26-LEXUS for assistance in Canada, TDD only 1-800-443-4999)
  2. Try to have the following information:

    Your vehicles identification number - look on the lower front corner of the dashboard
    Your name and address
    You vehicle license plate number

  3. The dispatch operator will ask for either a local number or the city that you are in.
  4. The dispatch operator will stay on the phone with you while he/she arranges for a local roadside service provider to respond.
  5. You will be provided an estimated time of arrival.
  6. The service provider will provide the necessary assistance.
